Ruff's Kick About League

What is Ruff's Kick About League??
It is a very simple idea - it is a league using Fifa 12 on the Xbox 360 that runs each month for any Ruff Gaming community members that want to take part. It is all about having fun and the results mean nothing. The league is just an arena for us to play matches online without facing the 9 year old screaming kids and the quitters who can't take a goal against them. It doesn't matter if you only play 2 matches for the month or you play 30 as Ruff's Kick About League is just about having fun and playing Fifa not the results or how many games you play - simple!

There is no ranking for league members so you can choose any club or international team that you want. You may also choose a team that has already been picked.

The league season's start on the 12th of every month and finish on the following 12th of the month. Then it starts all over again.

There will be no prizes for winning as this is really just a training arena. Also this league is not here to replace the main Ruff's Fifa League but more to run along side it so to give community members the chance to play even more Fifa if they wish!

To take part in Ruff's Kick About League just go to the Fifa Leagues section of the forum and all the details are in there including where to sign up. Ruff's Kick About League will be using the online league section of Fifa 12. You may join a season at any point through-out the month.

The new season of the main Ruff's Fifa League will also be starting very soon with full details to follow soon. Any questions give me a PM over at the forum.

Goal of the Month Competition & Match Highlights

June 2011

So the work continues on the back-log of RuffiansFC match highlights and goal of the month competitions. Hopefully by the end of January 2012 I should have us back caught back up with the late running Ruff FC video clips. The next match highlights and GOTM Competition are now ready for you to watch and vote on and they are for June 2011. To place your vote it is the same as normal - watch the video, choose your favourite then click on the link and place your vote on the forum. All Ruff Gaming community members may take part in the voting not just the RuffiansFC players so head to the forum to take part.

The 2nd video below is the full match highlights of RuffiansFC in June 2011 and there is some real cracking action in the clip and well worth a watch. Goals from the half way line, volleys, headers, crunching tackles are all there. Also there is a golden clip of our very own RuffiansFC hard man being wiped out by another community member playing for another team - Carson1912! Brave man lol - great tackle though!

Goal of the Month Competition

May 2011

The voting has now finished and the result is in for the RuffiansFC goal of the month competition for May 2011 - yes yes I know I am a little bit behind.

(no comments from you at the back but I will be catching up soon!!) lol

The vote was really close and only 1 vote between 3 of the entries. DaveAVFC & X Bulldog both came in joint 2nd place with 2 great goals and were both unlucky not to win it themselves but the winner for May was sneaked by 1 vote - TheMehwarrior! All the entries were cracking goals but I think Mehwarrior deserved it with his long range effort. To view all the goals and to see the winning entry watch the video below.

Merry Christmas from Ruff Gaming

I just wanted to take this chance to wish everybody here in the Ruff Gaming Community a very happy Christmas and hope you all have a fantastic day! Baw Kicker has set a thread up for Xmas messages if you wish to read or add to them - Click to add your own Ruff Style Xmas Message

All the normal community things like the Ruff Night Gamernights, RuffiansFC and Ruff Racing will all be on a small break but will return in the 1st week of Jan 2012 - keep an eye on the forum for full details.

OK I know it is running a little late but we welcome back the RuffiansFC goal of the month competition and it was certainly a cracking month for goals back in May of this year. I will hopefully have caught up with the match highlights and goal of the month competitions by mid January (hopefully) but I just want to say a big thanks to the Ruff community for bearing with me while I catch up on things all around the site and 2012 should be a action packed year for the site!

Now this vote for the goal of the month competition is open to all of the Ruff Gaming Community members not just RuffiansFC players! So everybody here is welcome to have a vote!

I have been through the videos of our goals scored for this month and have picked the best 8 scored by RFC players.

Ruff Racings Endurance Event
Hosted by Darkestfrost

OK so most of Ruff Racings races turn into the madness of bumper cars style carnage - which we will still do and we all enjoy but Darkestfrost has come up with a great idea for more of the hardcore drivers of the club to take part in some multiplayer endurance races on Forza 4 (None club members are also welcome to join this). We are thinking of setting up a full season of endurance races in the future for drivers to battle over and that will possibly follow after this 1 off event. But for the moment we are trying to organise a 1 off hardcore endurance race to test the water. We will be using R3 level of cars and looking to do the race length around the 20-30 lap mark (takes about 30 mins to complete), hence the endurance side of things. The track we are planning to use for this test run will be Road Atlanta and it will be with full damage on, Simulation steering, no race lines etc but other aids such as auto gears and ABS will be allowed. Darkestfrost will list the complete list of settings before the test event takes place.

If this one off race works we will be running a full season (6 races or so) here at Ruff Gaming. Hopefully this will be something a bit different to what we normally hold here on the site. All levels of drivers are welcome but the one thing we will be sticking by is that no bumper car style of tactics and we just want to get down to the racing side of things. If drivers do cheat we will be viewing the highlights so penalties will be given out - see we are being serious for a change! hehe

When this event will be held is still open so post in the forum if your interested and we will then find the best date for everybody.

So spread the word and lets get Darkestfrost's great idea off of the ground!

Also on a different note we held a Forza 4 Ruff Night Gamernight last week and the drivers of Ruff Racing took part in some cracking races. We finished off the night with the best race ever in what might just be the best car ever! The race has now been nicknamed the "Hairdressers 500 GP" - Watch the video to find out why!Of course Ruff Gaming TV was on hand to film it! Below is the highlights from that race. Also would like to thank and give a special mention to X x em x X for the loan of the car we all used for this epic race! Enjoy -

The Team Photo - Season 2010/11

So with the arrival of FIFA 12 it brings a new season in for RuffiansFC to take part in but it also sees the end of the last season - 2010/11. It was RuffiansFC second full season as a team and I have to say the team has grown beyond anything I had thought it would when I first set Ruff FC up. So when we had a chance for a large part of the team to meet up at this years Eurogamer Expo in London (was really great meeting you all) I had to try and get a team photo for the site. We managed it with the help of Twitter, my poor camera skills and ofcourse lets not forget the main man who works his magic at the Ruff Gaming Graphics department - MickyB! Of course sadly we couldn't get everybody to Eurogamer but with Micky's help we have added some of the missing players to the team photo as you can see below.

Hopefully we can try and do another team photo at next years Eurogamer Expo and of course a good excuse to meet up with you all again.

PR1NC3's 24 Hour GOSH Gaming Event

- Prince has written a few words below why he would like his money to go to GOSH -

"My first 24hrs of consecutive gaming was last year through extra life. This year I am even more motivated to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH)
My connection to (GOSH) started with the birth of my twin boys Ashan & Nihal. Nihal was born with a rare defect called bladder extrophy. This condition effects the bladder and kidneys and meant we were rushed from north Devon to London on the day of his birth and we were there for just over two weeks. He had major surgery to correct his bladder and reset his pelvis at just three days old and had an epidural in his spine to help with the pain.
This whole experience could have been a real nightmare but GOSH were amazing at calming us down whilst giving us great support and amazing care for not just our son but the hole family. Nihal is doing great but will need 3-4 more major operations as he grows into a boy and young man.
I an really looking forward to raising money for this amazing hospital and welcome anyone who wants to join in the fun and raise money at the same time."

So I think you would agree GOSH is certainly a worthy cause for our 24hr hour gaming marathon here at Ruff Gaming. PR1NC3 is starting his 24 hours of gaming this Friday which is the 14th October at 8pm and finishes the next day at 8pm.

- You can help PR1NC3 in a few ways -

- The first way and maybe the most important way is to donate to his GOSH fund. He has set his target for £2000. I am sure we can help him hit that and even break that. So head to the Pledge thread to donate. It doesn't matter how big or small but it all helps so please donate what you can. GOSH is such a worthy cause!

- The 2nd way is once you have donated yourself then spread the word among your friends and family. They haven't got to be gamers to help with this cause. So guys and gals get asking whoever you can to donate even if it is only £1! All will help!

- The last way is to jump on your Xbox 360 and help PR1NC3 along over the 24 hours whether it is messages of encouragement or offers to play along with him - not letting him fall asleep!

So guys come on lets show gaming can do good things!

I would also be doing the full 24 hours myself alongside PR1NC3 but due to no internet (most of you know the story so I wont bore you again with it). But I will be using somebody else's internet to jump on at times to help PR1NC3 along with the 24 hours & also I will be putting updates over Twitter on how PR1NC3 is getting on and how much he has raised.

Also everybody that donates money and posts on the pledge thread will be going into a prize draw to win a gaming goody bag prize for 1 lucky person that will be drawn randomly out of a hat. The bag has 2 gaming T-Shirts, MW3 poster and some other bits and bobs that I will announce later on.

Ruff Gaming @ Eurogamer Expo 2011

It is that time of year once again where gamers from all over the UK travel to Earls Court in South West London for the Eurogamer Expo. The Expo is a fantastic chance for us gamers to get hands on with unreleased and new games that we might not normally. This year promises to be bigger and better than ever before with Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony bringing there big titles and machines to show off! Not only the big 3 will be there but also the other giants of the gaming industry will be there such as EA, Ubisoft, Capcom, Sega, Square-Enix to just name a few! There will also be the new boys to the market - OnLive showing off their new system and how it works. Sony will be giving UK gamers a chance to get hands on with their new handheld - PlayStation Vita! Games such as Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Batman: Arkham City, Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Forza 4, Mass Effect 3 & Super Mario 3D Land will be on show and playable - but these are only a few of the listed titles that will be there!

This year will give the Ruff gaming Community a great chance to meet up face to face and say hi - If you are going then head over to our forum into the Ruff Chat Section under Community where we have a section to say what day you are going and also help with meeting up!

Watch out as I will be going on the Saturday and will be trying to get as many of the ruff gaming community on film and in photos! Also there is a large chunk of the RuffiansFC team going so hopefully we will be having a team photo taken at some point for the website.

So hopefully we all have a cracking time and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible!

- Ruff Gaming Presents -

A NEW COMPETITION

We have a new competition at here at Ruff Gaming - Gears of Ruff - Using the new Gears of War 3. It is for a style of game we haven't used for one of our competitions before - We thought we would try something different for a change. There will be a prize for the winner/winners and the format of the competition will be a knockout style of tournament using the WingMan Mode in the Multiplayer section of Gears of War 3. Don't worry if you don't have a partner just post in the forum that you want to take part but need a team mate and we will line somebody up for you. If you do have a WingMan Partner then great and both of you need to post in the forum and just let us know who your teamate will be! Once you have a team mate lined up you need to come up with a team name for your Wingman match-up!

The rest of the details of the Competition will follow very soon here. I hoping for the start date of the competition will be around the 2nd week of October 2011 but this is subject to change.

Also I would like to take this chance to say a massive thanks MickyB for making our brilliant promo video (above) for this new competition! Not only did he do the video and graphics but he made the music aswell! Cheers Micky!!!

The 24hr Ruff Gaming GOSH Charity Event

A lot of you may have heard of the yearly charity gaming event set up by Sarcastic Gamer called Extra Life. Extra Life is an annual 24-hour video game marathon that raises money to help kids at Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. So basically you get sponsored to game for 24 hours and the more you play the more you can raise for a very good cause.

Our very own community member Prince has taken part in the Extra Life event last year and he has decided to do it again this year but with a slight change. Extra Life allows you to donate the money you raise to a group of children's hospitals that they have listed. The twist for us is that Prince would like his money raised to go to the London Children's Hospital Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) which isn't listed in the Extra Life hospital list and I would like us here at Ruff Gaming to help him raise as much money as possible.

The basic idea is you play for 24 hours straight and you get sponsored to play and the money raised goes into our pot that we then send to GOSH. Now I know a lot of people won't be able to commit a full 24 hours to this but Prince and I will be doing the full 24 hours and anybody else is welcome to join us. I am looking for ideas on other ways to get people involved in raising money. We might do 6 hour slots to be sponsored or £1 an hour so the more hours you play the more you raise - but these are just ideas at the moment and I am looking to the community to help out with getting some ideas of how to best to get this to work.

The only thing that we are sure of at the moment is the date this will take place and it will be on Oct 15th 2011. The start and finish time is still to be chosen.

The only other idea that I have had at the moment is that along side Prince & me (and anybody else that is in for the full 24 hr's) that we try and keep RuffiansFC playing for the full 24 hours - this way people will only have to game for as long as they want but can but can still raise some money but again this is just an idea at the moment.

We are looking to do all our gaming on Xbox Live so we can keep each other going in parties and hopefully play lots of different online multi-player games.

The Ruff Rally 2011 We would like to announce our latest & newest competition here at the Ruff Towers Ruff Gaming Presents - The Ruff Rally 2011 - This competition will be point to point Rally based time trial's using DiRT3 on the Xbox 360 and is open to anybody that wants to take part* It is free and easy to take part all you have to do is sign up on our forum and follow the instructions listed there. The Ruff Rally will be starting on Wednesday 24th August 2011. The Competition itself will be made up of 3 rounds and each round will have 2 stages. For each round I will post up on the forum and announce the 2 stages for that round (which tracks to be used). All you have to do is in time trial section of the DiRT3 is try to get the best times possible for the stages or that round on the leader boards in-game (they must be on the leader boards so I can confirm the times). You can have as many goes as you like at the 2 stages before the deadline which I will post along side the other info for that round. Each round will last 7 days. Once you have done the best times you can for those stages you need to post them on the forum. The 2 stages times for that round will be added together and whoever has the quickest overall time for the round will take the points for that round. Whoever earns the most points over the 3 rounds will be crowned the champion of The Ruff Rally 2011! There will be a prize for the winner. The prize will be announced soon. Ruff's Fantasy Football - New Season!

With the English Premier League about to kick off for the new season for 2011/12 we here at Ruff Gaming are bringing back the Ruff's Fantasy Football! Fancy yourself as the next big manager in the world of football? Head this way to prove yourself against the rest of our community.

It is free to sign up and we run it through the official English Premier League fantasy football website.

Ruff's F1 World Championship - The Final Results

The last of the rounds of the F1 Competition have been raced and fought over with the final points added to the Drivers/Teams League Standings and finally we have our winners!

A massive well done to Mikethemute who stole the Ruff's F1 World Championship at the last! He entered the last 4 rounds in 2nd but took 1st place in the final rounds to claim the Ruff F1 crown! Before the final 4 rounds it looked like it was going to be a tough call to win the title as he was just a few to many points behind and if Darkestfrost finished all 4 rounds he would be to far to catch but the monster that is Monaco struck and Darkestfrost crashed out and with mikes brilliant driving he took the title! I think you will agree that Mikethemute is a worthy winner of this competition and deserves the title and prize of 1200 ms points! I have to say unlucky to Darkestfrost as he gave a great battle and we all enjoyed seeing mike and dark fight it out on the tracks of the F1 World.

The Team World Title was also hard fought competition (with great banter) between LameDuck Racing and Team DarkBar Racing - with LameDuck taking the title in the end. Mikethemute and RaingodZippo being the drivers of LameDuck Racing - Mike making it a double win! RaingodZippo for being the other part of the winning team will also pick up a code for 1200ms points!

Mikethemute and RaingodZippo will also be entered into the Ruff's Hall of Fame and their names will go down in Ruff History!

Goal of the Month Competition
March 2011

This evening saw the end of the voting for RuffiansFC Goal of the Month Competition for March 2011. We are still a few months behind but hopefully will catch up over the coming weeks. A massive thanks to everybody that took the time to vote.

The winning goal was number 6 from the 10 goals which was scored by X Bulldog - a great volley from distance on the edge of the box! Well done Rich it is a cracking goal!

Also well done to all that had goals entered in March's goal of the month competition - there was some real crackers. X Bulldog's winning goal will be put forward into the Goal of the Season Competition at the end of the season in October 2011. Some of the runners up can still make this as I will include some of the best goals that didn't quite make the vote and they will be entered as wildcard entries.

Ruff's Fifa League Season 09

-Important Information-

The end of the season for all 3 Divisions is now going to be Friday 2nd Sept 2011 at 10pm! So all games must be played by then or they will be lost points!

The original end of the season date was going to be the 2nd of August but with lots of league members being away on holiday and still alot of games to be played I have pushed it back 1 month to give you all a better chance to earn those points! Also the end of the season would have landed right when I might be moving house so better all round that the season is 1 month longer. Oh and that means more time to play Fifa! That can't be a bad thing.

Some of you have complained that you are struggling to find other league members to play against - try and contact each other through Xbox Live, Twitter or through our forum here at Ruff Gaming. If that fails then contact me through Xbox Live or Twitter with when you are free and I will get some matches lined up for you. The more notice the better.

So all that is left to do is get playing guys!

Competition News

A little update below with some important information on some of our competitions that we have running at the moment -

Ruff's Fifa Legaue Season 09 -
Due to the summer months and plenty of our league members being on holiday I have decided to extend the end of our season to 2nd Sept 2011 so this gives you all a better chance to get those games in before the end of the season. I will run a few evenings to help organise getting your fixtures played. Keep an eye on the Ruff Night section of the forum for when I plan these evenings. So guys get playing before it is to late!

The Ruff Fifa Cup -
This may seem to be dragging on but I have had a few people drop out messing up the structure of the cup. Instead of the planned mini league we was going to do for the semi final we are going back to the old style knockout format for the semi finals. I will make the draw soon and full info will be posted on the forum.

RuffiansFC Goal of the Month Competition -

1st off really sorry for the extreme late running of the update to the Ruff F1 Competition. I have now added all the points for the past 3 rounds 8, 9 & 10. It is still a really close fought battle for the Drivers and Teams Championships in Ruff's F1 2011 Competition. The final rounds of the comp are now posted up and ready to go! So the Ruff Golf Cup has now come to an end and after lots of fantastic golf over 3 rounds we have our Champion from the 20 players that started - Carson1912!. The final was between TheMehWarrior, Wackybar and Carson1912. The course that I chose for the battleground for the grand final was the tough 18 holes of Augusta. Both MehWarrior and Wackybar put up a good fight but Carson had it all under control from the 1st tee and never looked back really. All 3 players played some cracking shots and also all 3 ended up in the sand more than once - Oh and Wackybar went paddling in the water on the 16th!

So a massive well done to Carson for taking the title for 2011 and along with the title he wins himself 1200 ms points code. I hope everybody that entered the competition enjoyed it as much as I did.

The top 2 teams after all the games have been played will be the 2 teams through to the final and they then will play a 1 off match organised by me at a later date.

The Ruff Golf Cup - Update

That is it - Round 2 of the Ruff Golf Cup is now all wrapped up and we have our 3 players for the Grand Final! A massive well done to the top 3 players from the Round 2 Scoreboard for making the final - Carson, Wackybar & TheMehWarrior. All 3 players put in top scores to reach the final round. Unlucky to everybody that is 4th and below as they didn't make the final - A big thanks to all the golfers that have taken part in this Ruff tournement. We have had some great scores with it being very tight and only a few shots in it across the board! Now we roll onto the final to see who will be our Ruff Golf Champion of 2011!

Goal of the Month Competition - Feb 2011

The voting is now over and we finally have a winner for the February 2011 Goal of the Month Competition. MickyB topped the poll with the most votes for his goal which was goal no.4. Feb was Micky's month as he had 2 really great goals in the voting list. This might just have been the toughest goal of the month competition to date since we started doing this comp as all the listed goals were top draw and so hard to choose between all of them!

Well done to everybody that had a goal up in this competition - they are all stonking goals and also a massive congratulations goes to MickyB for winning Febs vote!

MickyB's goal will go into the pot for voting at the end of the season to see which is the goal of the season scored by RuffiansFC! Some of the other goals might just make the voting list as wild cards as some of these also deserve their place in the voting. The Ruff Golf Cup - Round 1

At long last the 1st Round of the Ruff Golf Cup is now open. Sorry for the delay this week in starting the Competition but it is full steam ahead as we can now all head to our 1st course!

The 1st course of 18 holes that will be the battleground for our 1st round will be St Andrews (Old Course).

To get your score listed here on our Ruff Cup Leader Board all you have to do is play a standard multi-player match of 18 holes at St Andrews with 1 of our Refs that are listed below. Even if the Ref has played his round of golf for this round he may still play again to witness the scores of other players (the refs score is the 1st round of 18 holes played and all other scores will not be counted).

Once you have played your round of golf post what score you got round the 18 holes in and I will then place you on the Ruff Leader Board - I will check all scores of players with the refs.

Ok as for the which Golfer do I use? question I have decided to say everybody picks the same golfer from the game. For this round everybody plays as Tiger Woods.

The top 9 golfers on the Leader Board go through to the 2nd Round and everybody that is position 10th or lower goes out of the competition. So to make the Ruff Cut you need to be 9th or higher!

So contact one of the listed refs on here, twitter or over Xbox Live to get your round of golf set up soon as possible!

There is no deadline to get your score in by but the sooner the better but I won't give you forever so head to the fairway soon as possible!

Ruff's F1 World Championship

Just a quick update on the F1 Competition -

Round 7 - Is now all wrapped up and the points have been added to the overall Drivers and Team Leader boards for you to view.

Darkestfrost has managed to hold onto the top spot even though mikethemute took the top points for this round! It is very close in the Drivers standings between the top 2 places and either driver could walk away winner at the end of the season. Between 3rd place and 10th in the drivers table there is only 70pts and anybody could move up several places in just 1 week!

As for the Team Standings the top 2 teams have switched places after Round 7s points with Lameduck Racing jumping above DarkBar Racing in the standings but with only 5 points in it the World Championship has been truly blown wide open for either team to win it!

Round 8 - Is a Live Race that we will be holding on Sunday 1st May. All the race details and where to book your place in this race is on our forum.

Round 9 - Just like London Buses 2 come along at once! Along side the Live Race we also have a time trial round running at the same time. We are using the Turkish race track in Istanbul and all the details for this are on the forum.

So guys time to hit the track!

The Ruff Golf Cup

Yes thats right Ruff Gaming is heading to the golf course! We are going to have a 1 off tournament using Tiger Woods 12 on the Xbox 360 & the PS3. Oh yes you heard me correctly! it is going to be our 1st cross platform competition! There will be a 1 Month Gold Card code for Xbox Live (Subject to change if a PS3 user is the winner!) for the winner of our tournament. It will be starting very soon and you can sign up to take part in the cup on our forum.

We are looking to start the 1st round off around 25th April but further details will be posted up here soon as I have a confirmed start date!

So PS3 & 360 Golfers of all skill levels are welcome and you don't have to play like Tiger Woods to take part!

Important Notice

Ok guys just to let you know things might have seemed to slow up around Ruff Gaming Towers over the last week or so but not to panic - Everything is good.

I have had internet problems this week and also been abit busy with my wedding on 2nd April I haven't been able to keep on top of things as much as I have liked. Once I am back online after Sat 9th April I will get everything rolling again around here. That is not to say nothing is happening here at Ruff Gaming - We still have the Fifa League matches being played, Ruffs F1 Comp is in full flow and we also have the TDU2 Car club up and running at long last. Below is just a little update on the status on the sections of Ruff Gaming so you guys know where you stand and just to let you know I haven't forgotten!

RuffiansFC - We still have a fixture night posted up on the forum for next week that the squad players can take part in.

RuffiansFC Goal of the Month Comp - A massive well done to Baw Kicker for winning the last Goal of the Month Comp for Jan. The other Goal of the Month comps for Feb & March will be following soon once I am back on Sat 9th April.

Ruff's Fifa League - This is still up and running. So guys get playing your games before the end of the Season comes around!

Ruff's Fifa Cup - The draw for this has been delayed but will go ahead on Sunday 10th April and once that has been done we can start playing the 1st round matches. All the info for this will be posted here.

Ruff's F1 World Championship - This is in full flow and racers have the deadline set to get the times in for the current round. Get racing!!

Ruff Racings TDU2 Club - Is now set up and is open for drivers to join and take part in the fun. Just head to the forum for full info on the club! A massive thanks to Sheriffpyewipe for getting ths going!

Test Drive Unlimited 2 - Ruff Style

With the new release of Test Drive Unlimited 2 now here I thought this might be a great game to bring to the community in 2 ways.

1st off we will be bringing "The Ruff Race Way" to the sunny island of Ibiza using the in-game club houses that they have in Test Drive. I will be setting up our very own club house for the community to use and have a laugh with whether it will be road race gamernights or racing against other club houses. I have set up a section on the forum for our club house. There is a thread for you to sign up to the club and also a general chat thread for the racers to talk about anything to do with the club house and the game in general.

Secondly following in the footsteps of our other racing comps (Race Pro, Forza 3 & F1 2010) I will be running some sort of road race comp. I have also added a section to the forum for this and also you can sign up there if you fancy taking part.

So I think that is it for the moment apart from saying see you on the roads of Ibiza!

OK well we are half way through the season of the Premier League and as in the actual League - Our Fantasy Football League is really hotting up between our 15 teams!

The community has been voting on the best goal scored by a RuffiansFC player for the month of December and we have a clear winner - RaingodZippo!

He scored a cracking goal as he cut in from the left wing and dummies a defender with some quick footwork and then unleashes a powerful shot into the goal. His goal will now get put forward into the goal of the season which is voted on in October.

OK well after a slight delay in getting these results posted up I have now got round to finishing them. There are some amazing totals racked up by you guys and a really big well done and thank you to everybody that took part!

I think we all knew who the winner would be in the last few weeks but the top 2 were close in the end.

So a massive well done to Beezelbug for racking up a massive gamerscore in the time period of the competition - he earned 11630GS and SheriffPyewipe came in 2nd place with also a giant score of 10418GS.

Well with Christmas and the New Year well behind us now the RuffiansFC Goal of the Month Competition returns.

1st off we have the Goal of the Month for November results in with X Bulldog winning the poll hands down with a cracking piece of skill for his goal.

Ruff's Online Fifa League Season 06 Champion is - XBulldog

That's it - The end of the 7th Season of my Fifa League on the Xbox 360 has arrived and a massive well done to X Bulldog for holding onto the title for the 3rd season on the trott! He played as NY Red Bulls and stormed to the top of the table with a giant points total of 101pts! His stats finished off as W29 L9 D14 which isn't a too shabby set of results!

BigAndiD also gets a special mention for making a late but strong charge for the top but couldn't quite catch X Bulldog in time.

X Bulldog wins himself 800MS Pts for coming 1st and BigAndiD gets a code for 1 Month Gold Xbox Live for coming 2nd in the league!

Also a massive thanks and well done to everybody that has taken part this season as it was our biggest and best so far to date of the Ruffian's Online Fifa League.

Ruff's F1 World Championship

Race Results - Round 5 Melbourne

Well Tuesday saw our 1st live race of the Championship and it was a real cracker!

We had a good turn out of 9 drivers for the race in the blazing sun of Australia. The F1 track for this round was Melbourne.

With 2 of the top of the table drivers unable to make the race (mikethemute & StuCowie) there was plenty of points up for grabs!

A massive thanks to Darkestfrost, Wackybar, NinjaNash, RaingodZippo, BigAndiD, Minty, LongJohnMcNasty and TheBlackMagpie for turning out for the race!

Wackybar took an early lead and was holding his own with Darkestfrost chasing him in 2nd place but Wackybar (both drivers from Darkbar Racing) had a technical hitch with his car (well it was actually problems with his 360 pad) knocking him off 1st place and dropping down to finish in 7th which was so unlucky as he set such a fast pace! A stewards enquiry was held as there was some complaints from other drivers (unnamed) that it was an order from the Darkbar Racing pits for wackybar to move over and let Darkestfrost past but the complaints have been thrown out!

In the end a very risky choice made by BigAndiD (Team Slam Dunc Racing) paid off and allowed him to take the 2nd place. He chose to hold off his pit stop right to the last minute allowing him enough of a gap over the chasing pack.

RaingodZippo (Lameduck Racing) put in a top performance and came in 3rd and fought well in his team mates absence from the race.

TheBlackmagpie (Team Shake & Bake Motorsport) was disqualified by the stewards from the race due to his corner cutting on more than one occasion - it was rumoured that he even missed a corner completely but the TV cameras missed the rumoured event!

LohnJohnMcNasty(The flying Scotsmen Racing Team), RuffianStew(Team Shake & Bake Motorsport), NinjaNash(Legend Reme Team Racing) and Minty(Mints in the Face Race Team) all fought hard and changed places several times in the middle of the pack but all put in some good racing!

The race was a real cracker and a massive thanks to everybody that took part!

Match Report - Weds 10th November

Another Weds night which means another night of Ruffian's FC! We had a great turnout and some great results to go with it!

A massive thanks to Stucowie, RaingodZippo, Darkestfrost, X Bulldog, Aceplantman, mikethemute, NinjaNash, Prince & Obesia Blue for all playing on Wednesday night.

We had some great results on the night - 4 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses. Thats great form if you compare it to this time last last season!

Our disciplinary record has improved also this season from last year with only a few red cards on the night. RuffianStew(totally harshly), mikethemute and even the A.I controlled player got sent off for us. This sounds alot but is nowhere near last years blood bath we was having most match nights last year! lol

We have 2 new players to the squad this year - Aceplantman & Prince. They have settled in really well with Aceplantman making himself tough to beat in the defence and Prince playing really well in the midfield of the team. Prince also grabbed himself his 1st goal of his Ruff FC career!

We had goals from X Bulldog (Already scored 25 for this season so far!), NinjaNash, RaingodZippo, Prince, mikethemute, Obesia Blue and I sneeked my 4th of the season!

Lastly but not least is the Man of the Match Award for the night. I have to say he performed some amazing saves and stops in our goal - it is our No.1 Keeper Darkestfrost! He pulled off some cracking saves and they deffently made the difference to our results!

Ruff's F1 2010 World Championship - The Teams

Ok guys here are a few more details on the up & coming F1 Comp - We will not only be having the Drivers Championship but also we will be having Team World Championship which will be 2 man teams just like the real F1.

The World Championship will be split into 2 parts - Time trials & full on racing. The time trials will be simular to the Forza comp that I just run on this site so some of you guys will know all about that.

I will post up the full details of the whole competition - scoring, tracks and rules this Saturday and then the 1st round will start this Sunday. We will start off with a time trial to make things easy and give us time to organise a race time that suits everybody.

For the teams I have drawn them out of a hat at random. I pulled 4 drivers from the list before the draw as I know from past competitions that they are speed demons so I have seeded them to keep them apart - All we need is Darkestfrost and LongjohnMcNasty on the same team! lol

The 4 seeded drivers are - Darkestfrost, longjohnmcnasty, mikethemute & faceinthecrowd

This doesn't mean I don't rate anybody else it is just I know for a fact these guys are pretty damn fast!

Match Report - 29th September 2010

Well the last night of our Season came and went - Did we hit our 50 wins target?? HELL YERRRRR!!! We hit it then smashed it and then backed over it to make sure we beat it! Have I gone mad - well maybe but thats a different story! lol

After our fantastic effort on Monday night which cut the 6 wins we needed for the BIG 50 down to just needing 3 wins - And we got it! We won our 1st 3 games of the night and took the 50 wins with ease (which most of us thought it was going to be a real struggle!). We even then went on a 9 match win streak - yes you heard me right 9 wins!!!!

So the last night of the season and we done it!

We once again had a strong turn out for the night - A massive thanks to
RaingodZippo, Gnats, Darkestfrost, BigAndiD, MadHansGruber, NinjaNash, X Bulldog & Obesia Blue for playing!!!

To be honest I would list the goal scorers but I think everybody hit the target at some point of the night! Yes even I did before I am jumped on lol I hit the last goal of the season ok ok it was an open goal but hey I miss them most times lol! We did have 4 hat-tricks of the night - Obesia Blue, BigAndiD, X Bulldog & NinjaNash! Well done guys!

X Bulldog did walk away with the honour of top scorer for our team for the season (no suprise there then! lol) so a massive well done to X Bulldog.

But not only the night but the whole season was a real squad effort so to every player that pulled on the team shirt - Thank you and well done!

We got there in the end!

Match Report - Monday 27th September

OK where do I start with this match report - Umm

Well 1st off a massive thanks to the team for a good turn out even though it was an extra match night this week and also with a ton of new games out (Halo & F1 mainly) I thought we would be short of players - but nearly a full team once again!

Thanks to RaingodZippo, Gnats, Darkestfrost, X Bulldog, MadHansGruber, Ninja Nash, Obesia Blue & Cookies n footy for playing in a cracking night of football!

We had 2 players hit big milestones last night in their Ruffian's FC career! So a giant well done to RaingodZippo & NinjaNash for both scoring their 50th goal for the club this season! That is a cracking Achievement to earn in a season of Ruffian's FC - Only 4 players from the whole squad have managed that! Raingod's 50th was a real belter of a shot too!

Stand out moments of the night were - Darkestfrost stealing my goal off the line (thief!), RaingodZippo & NinjaNash scoring their 50th goal's, RuffianStew (yes me) got sent off twice in one match!, Gnats' own goal (maybe the best we have had all season!), Cookies scoring a bucket full of goals throughout the night, RaingodZippo's top performance in the centre of midfield (lived up to his Enforcer nickname), MadHansGruber having a mic(yes that's right we heard him speak for the 1st time!), X Bulldog & MadHansGruber playing up front together and totally taking the mick out of the other teams!, RaingodZippo scoring a CHEAP goal and then shouting cheap at himself!, Obesia Blue's totally funny witterings throughout the match (the Gob shite incident almost made Dark wet himself he was laughing so much!), Darkestfrost's fine performance as the 'Any' player and finally I suppose I should mention the 3 (yes 3) sitters I missed in front of goal - fun enough the video clips have gone missing!!

A bit of a long round-up but I got there in the end!

As for the goal scorers for the night I think everybody that took to the field scored - which is great stuff!

Before the night started we needed 6 wins to get our target of 50 wins for the season. And yes as the last few weeks have gone by and the wins have dried up it looked almost impossible to hit that 50th win! Well somehow we dug out 3 wins last night to give ourselves a fighting chance to get our target but it certainly will go down to the wire as we have only 1 match night left of the season and 3 wins to get! Can we do it?? well I know that we will give it a damn good try and anything is possible with Ruffian's FC players! So watch this space to see if we make it tomorrow night!!

The 3 results that we won were 5-1, 4-2 & 2-1!

I normally give out a man of the match award to 1 or 2 players that have really shone in the nights matches! Well due the fact that we dug out 3 wins to give ourselves a chance of the season target and also I don't think one player played bad (yes I missed 3 chances but I did score later in the night lol)and we had such a laugh all night - the men of the match is RaingodZippo, Gnats, Darkestfrost, X Bulldog, MadHansGruber, Ninja Nash, Obesia Blue & Cookies n footy - you all played top football and I have to say a massive thanks for all of your efforts to get your crazy managers target abit closer!

Ruffian's Forza Competition Final Round-Up

Ok well the final lap has been raced on the Ruffian's Forza Competition. It has been running for nearly a year and I have to say was way more bigger & popular than I had planned for!

The winner in the end is no surprise but he totally deserves it - The Champion is Darkestfrost! He led from pretty much the start and only lost the lead when he was unable to take part in a Race week - he soon regained the top spot with some killer lap times that very few of us could keep up with!

So a massive well done to Darkestfrost - The Forza Champion!!

Also I have to say a massive well done to Faceinthecrowd for pushing Dark all the way!

Finally I have to say a massive thanks to everybody that took part! It was great fun to run and I hope you all enjoyed it!

I hope to see you all again in other competitions that will be going on around this crazy corner of the net!

A massive well done to Mr Darkestfrost with his goal that wins the vote for the goal of the month for August! It was a close vote this month but I think we would all agree that Darkest's goal was a real cracker and he deserved to win!

Match Report - Weds 15th Sept

Well the season for Fifa 10 with Ruffian's FC is getting close to the end now but the fun, crazyness and laughter isn't slowing up by far!

We played the 1st of the 3 weeks in the Liverpool kit and we didn't do to bad. We had a 3-1 win and a 1-1 draw and also a handful of losses. But they were close games and only had one large defeat.

A massive thanks to RaingodZippo for stepping in and hosting for me for the 1st hour until I got online. Cheers Mr Zippo!

We had a good turnout considering that a small game called Halo Reach was released the day before! A massive thanks to RaingodZippo, Darkestfrost, Honest360, MadHansGruber, X Bulldog, NinjaNash and MickyB(efc1987).

A special mention goes out to Mickyb(GT-efc1987) for making his debut for Ruffian's FC. He managed to grab 2 goals and not only that but took on the role as any for a few matches and really played well - even the computer gave him man of the match which is really hard to do when playing as Any! Welcome to the team and really well played Mickyb!!

We were so unlucky in 2 of our defeats - 1 of them we played well all match and kept it at 0-0 untill they scored in the 91st minute with yes you guessed it! A cut back!! Damn them!!!

The goals scored by us in our matches were scored by RaingodZippo, Darkestfrost, Mickyb, MadHansGruber, Honest360, NinjaNash and ofcourse X Bulldog as normal! lol umm I think there is only 1 name missing from that list but less said about that the better! lol

Darkestfrost scored maybe the weirdest goal of the night which you can see on the highlights when they go up but we weren't even sure if it went in the goal but it deffently went powering past the goal and into the stand behind somewhere!

RaingodZippo's new permed hair style has to get a mention! All I can say it is a must to see and it goes down in Ruff FC history! Also it was great having him in the wall at free kicks as it stood 6ft above his head blocking any view of the goal! I think we have found a new tactic! lol

As for my seasons target for reaching 50 wins - well we are still in with a shout but it is going to be close! I reckon we can do it though!

Mickyb has to get the last special mention of the night for what might be the funniest moment of the night! The other teams keeper had the ball and was wasting time by holding the ball up and not taking a goal kick just to waste a few more seconds. And even before the teams normal mad men - Raingod, MadHansGruber & Darkestfrost even had chance to think of doing something wreckless Mickyb had charged at the keeper and pulled off a 2 footed tackle on (more like through him) him sending the cheating keeper 4 ft up in the air! He didn't even get sent off for it - just a yellow! lol great stuff!

As for the Man of the Match Award I think for the above reasons - I will give it to MickyB for his debut performance! Well played Mickyb!!

Match Report - Weds 8th Sept

1st off sorry for a few days delay in getting the report/highlights up on here.

As for the night it was cracker! Maybe not for the results but for the amount I laughed! Em had to turn the other TV up as she could not hear Big Brother over my laughing! (yes Big Brother I know lol but hey lol).

We played in a different kit from our normal Arsenal shirt - We become the mighty Green Army of Plymouth Arg in honour of very own mikethemute! We didn't quite do him proud but we sure gave it a good go and had a blast along the way trying.

We unfortunately didn't edge any nearer of our target of 50 wins for the season (Still 7 wins to go in 3 weeks) but we played some great football and didn't deserve some of the defeats we had.

We had a massive turn out again and thanks to everybody that took part!

The 1 result that stands out of the night was the 3-3 draw we had. we went 3-1 down and MadHansGruber got himself sent off we but pulled it back to 3-3 in the last few mins with a goal from *Cough* Me *Cough* lol but it was a cracking game and a brilliant team performance.

We had goals coming from all parts of the team - So a massive well done to the team.

Other stand out moments for the night were Gnats and Cookies n footy both missing open goals with style, BigAndiD's own goal, X Bulldog scoring a real cracker, Obesia Blue screaming at his player and calling himself a sloppy tart!, MadhansGruber & BigAndiD getting their marching orders mikethemute and BigAndiD pulling off 2 brilliant last ditch tackles when players were odds on to score!

Another thing to mention for the night is that we had a new player make his debut for Ruffian's FC - Honest - no no I'm not kidding Honest (sorry poor humour I know! lol. Honest360 played really well and grabbed himself a goal on his debut night.

Lastly but not least we come to the Man of the Match Award. Everybody played really well but the winner stood out on the night for his all round performance but also he bagged the most goals for night. The winner is RaingodZippo! Also he still won't let me forget missing him off the goal scorers list for last weeks matches - So guys remember never cross our Scottish mad man - oops sorry mean star player! lol Also the well respected TV pundet Andy Gray called our very own Raingod "Unbalanced" lol not sue what he ment by that lol. Raingod played the best football on the night so the Man of the Match Award goes to RaingodZippo.

Match Report - 01/09/10

Well the 2nd fixture night in 3 days for Ruffian's FC & well what can I say - it was a blast as always!!

We had another cracking turn out with the numbers seeming to grow each week! Its great to see and a massive thanks from me to all you guys who played. Thanks to RaingodZippo, Darkestfrost, mikethemute, BigAndiD, MadHansGruber, WackyBar, NinjaNash, Cookies n footy, Gnats, Dunco & X Bulldog.

As for the results we had 2 wins (Yes that's right 2 wins!), 1 draw (a real cracker of a game!) and 4 defeats.

The 1st game of the night was a 4 all draw which I think deserves a special mention - we went 1 nil up quite quickly (thanks to Cookies n footy) & had plenty of early chances that we didn't put away. We then paid the price for not putting our chances away and went 4-1 behind and at half time it was 4-1 to the other team. Thinking it was going to be one of those matches that we were going to get really turned over the team gave it a real good go in the 2nd half and we scored 3 second half goals to go level and (thanks to 2 great X Bulldog goals and 1 fluky goal from me!yes me! lol). A great result even though it was a draw but had us all on the edges of our seats!

As for the other results we had 2 wins - 2-1 & 4-1. They both came right at the end of the night but we played some great football.

We are closing in the teams target of 50 wins for this season before Fifa 11 comes in. We are on 43 at the moment and hopefully can scrape 7 wins in the last month of this season.

As for the goal scorers for the night we had goals from all over the team. The scorers were - Cookies n footy, X Bulldog, MadHansGruber, BigAndiD, Dunco, NinjaNash and RuffianStew.

Dunco has seemed to settled into the team with the custom red card - It was a nothing tackle and very harsh from the ref but hey your not a Ruff FC player until you have been sent off at least once! lol. Also Dunco was showing his brother (BigAndiD) where the net was to as he grabbed himself 2 goals for the night!

Well the main special mention has to go out to a certain Mr X Bulldog. He hit a massive milestone for the team last night - he scored his 100th goal for Ruffian's FC (Yes that's right 100 goals!). He is the 1st player for the team to score that many and I bet it won't be long until he hits 200! Also the goal he scored to make 100 was a real peach of a goal that you will be able to see on the highlights.

From me and the whole team well done Bulldog!

Lastly we had very kindly been given a code by Darkestfrost which was for early access to the EA creation Centre for Fifa 11 which allows you to do all manner of crazy stuff on your PC that you can then port into Fifa 11 on your Xbox 360. We decided to give it away as a prize for whoever wins the Man of the Match Award for last nights games. Well it was hard choice as you all played so well but I think you will all agree there can only be one winner - For his 100 goals for Ruffian's FC the man of the match is X Bulldog!

The highlights should be up by Sat - hopefully!

Ok here is an update on a few things in the world of Ruffian's of Gaming -

Ruffian's FC - Voting for the August Goal of the Month Competition has just opened. Head over to the forum to watch the videos of the goals & place your vote.

We have got a Prize Code to give away for the EA Creation Centre that is going to be used on the up & coming Fifa 11. It will allow you to go online on your PC and create all different things for the new Fifa game that comes out in Oct. This code will allow you to access this creation centre nearly a month early before everybody else. This code will be won by the player that wins the Man of the Match on the fixture night on 1st Sept.

A massive thanks to Darkestfrost for giving us the code to use for Ruffian's FC.

Forza 3 Challange - The final round is finally here! Well it is nearly here - It kicks off this Thurs. Keep an eye on the forum for full details.

Match Report - 29th August 2010

Well Ruffian's FC was back and in fine form this week! Well 3 wins, 1 draw, & a handful of losses is what I would call fine form for us!

Ok here goes - 2 of the wins we had we went in the lead (2 nil in 1 of them & 5 nil in the other - yes thats right 5 nil up in the other!!) and they both quit on us! The other win I think we was dreaming but guys hold onto your hats - 7 nil win to us! Yep 7 nil! Strangely they didn't quit on us as that is the normal thing to do on Fifa 10 (except us!).

The 1 draw this week we was so unlucky not to have it as a win. We were leading for most of the match and in the 89th minute they got a scrappy goal! So close.

Also 1 of the defeats we was also leading for 90 minutes and some how they grabbed 2 goals in 2 injury time minutes - again we was so unlucky and so close to another win - thats football I guess!

The other defeats were quite heavy - less said about them the better but most the teams that did beat us used the usual cheap cut back trick. Except one of the teams I have to say were outstanding and their goals were brilliant (pains me to say it!).

A massive thanks to Darkestfrost, RaingodZippo, Wackybar, NinjaNash, mikethemute, Xx em xX & MadHansGruber for playing.

A big well done to Darkestfrost, RaingodZippo, NinjaNash, mikethemute, MadHansGruber & Xx em xX for all getting on the score sheet! There was some cracking goals scored tonight! Some how I managed to sneek onto the score sheet twice tonight aswell!

A couple of special mentions when it comes to the goals - Xx em xX scored a belter of a shot that on her return to playing from a few weeks away. MadHansGruber scored the most for the night and a couple of them were real peaches of goals too! But mikethemute I think scored the best of the night - A long range screamer that I am sure will make it into the this months goal of the month list this month.

Without our normal ANY player BigAndiD to run the show at the back mikethemute stepped up and took on the job and I have to say he played a blinder at the back - he really played well as Any and did a pretty good job of keep things tight back there!

As for the Man of the Match Award - I will give it to mikethemute for the stirling effort as the ANY player and his screamer of a goal and MadHansGruber also gets the award for his all round team play and his goal count for the night.

The highlights will be up for you to watch very soon so keep an eye on the Match of the Day section!

Goal of the Month Result for July

Well thats it the Poll for Goal of the Month for July is now CLOSED!!

A massive thanks to everybody that voted!!

And by a landslide we have a clear winner which is our midfield enforcer known for his tough tackling it is our very own Brave Heart (without the dodgy Mel Gibson accent) - Raingod Zippo!

The goal was a real cracker. It was a volley from the edge of the box that was hit perfectly giving the keeper no chance! I'm thinking that Mr Zippo has some family links from Brazil with that sort of footballing skill!

Unlucky to Mad Hans Gruber who also scored a special goal that came in 2nd. But I think we all will agree that Raingod is this months deserved winner.

Raingod gets his goal put forward into the Goal of the Season Competition that is voted on in October.

Match Report - For Weds 11th August 2010

Another week & another night of Ruffian's FC matches! It wasn't our greatest night for results but we certainly had fun in the chaos that was going on! lol

A massive thanks to Darkestfrost, BigAndiD, NinjaNash, RaingodZippo, Gnats, X Bulldog, Cookies n footy, wackybar, Mad Hans Gruber & Obesia Blue for playing (sorry if I missed anybody off that played).

The highlights of the night were Darkestfrost with a very late lunge(any later & it would have been in the next day!), BigAndiD unlucky not to score whatever he tried - including hitting both posts off of the same shot!, having our leading scorer back from international duty, Another match abandoned due to a ton of Red Cards! & another cracking goal from Obesia Blue (Can he not score wonder goals? lol) Phew I think thats it!!

Obseia Blue, NinjaNash, Cookies n footy, RaingodZippo, X Bulldog were all on the score sheet - oh I almost forgot I sneeked a goal!

As for the man of the match it was a tough one again and I have to spilt it between these 2 players - NinjaNash for his red hot scoring streak he is on & Cookies n footy for his goals he scored also for his alround performance.

Match Report - Weds 4th August

Another Weds night with Ruffian's FC. We had great fun even though most of the results were against us - some real heavey defeats but we had fun anyway!

We had 1 Win, 1 Draw, 1 game heading towards a win then they quit (Bloody Cheats!) and several loss's!

A massive thanks to BigAndiD, Mikethemute, Cookies n footy, Wackybar, Darkestfrost, RaingodZippo, NinjaNash & Obesia Blue for playing.

Everybody played really well and we had some good goals. Obesia Blue was our main source of goals for the night with 5 goals (Might be 6 but I lost count). Some how I nabbed 2 goals for the night - lucky I guess lol!

We also only had a couple of Red Cards which makes a change for us!

A special mention goes to Obesia Blue with a 40 yard wonder strike! He just hit it perfectly into the top corner giving the keeper no chance! That is defently pick of the night! I reckon a goal of the month contender!

With his all round team performance, goals & his wonder goal Mr Blue wins the Man of the Match Award for the night!

Match Report - Weds 28th July

Well Ruffian's FC was in action again & it was action packed as normal! Not all the action going our way but it certainly wasn't boring!

We only managed 1 win & 1 draw but we had a good laugh as always!

A massive thanks to BigAndiD, ShakeyLakey, Gnats, Red Ollie, Wackybar, Mad Hans Gruber, RaingodZippo, Obesia Blue, Cookies N footy, StuCowie & mikethemute for all taking part in some or all of the matches!

This week we was missing regular team members - Darkestfrost & X Bulldog but the team stepped up well to fill in the red cards Darkest gets and the goals X Bulldog gets for us!

A welcome back to StuCowie after his loan spell away - good to have you back mate!

Also a special mention goes to our youngest member of the team - Red Ollie (hes 11) who put in a fine performance (That he showed most of the players double his age up! lol). He grabbed his 1st goal for the team. So well done to Red Ollie and look forward to him playing again soon for RFC. We might have to start a U18's R.F.C soon!

Also BigAndiD gets a mention for his 2 - yes 2 penalty saves! Well done Andi.

The Red Cards were back in force this week as we went in abit hard and paid the price for the strong tackles (or should I say assaults on the other teams!). We had over 8 red cards for the night which might be a record in Ruff FC history. I think we even had a match abandoned due to having over 6 players sent off in that 1 match! lol oh well.

Mikethemute, Red Ollie, RaingodZippo, Cookies n footy, Gnats, Mad Hans Gruber & me all got on the score sheet which was great to see. Well done guys!

A mention has to go out to Mad Hans Gruber for his scoring rate again this week. I can't list how many as I lost track after 5 over the evening. But 2 of the goals really stick out. The 1st was a perfect free kick & the 2nd was a cheeky flick over the keeper. Both need to be seen (Check Match of the Day for both of the goals).

Then there was mikethemute. He was a late sub on the night and only played the last 2 matches but wow did he play well! 2 really well taken headers in 1 of the matches and 2 assists in the other match! He was on fire!

The Man of the Match Award is another tough one this week so for the above listed reasons I have split it between 3 players. Mad Hans Gruber, mikethemute & Red Ollie all earn the award this week - well done guys!

Match Report - Weds 21st July

Another cracking night in the world of Ruffian's FC!

The results were 3 Wins, 2 Draws & 4 losses in the end for the evening. Not bad run of results again. Thats 2 weeks on the trott we have had a good set of scores.

Ofcourse 2 of our wins the other team quit out as soon as we scored over the 3 nil default for quitting. Frigging tosspots Arh sorry about that little rant there! lol

2 of our losses were pretty heavy 9-1 & 8-2 I think but we kept plodding on and we can be proud that we have not quit a Fifa game once! That might even be a record lol.

The red cards returned this week after 2 weeks without the red card being shown - Raingod (twice) , Obesia Blue and mikethemute all getting their marching orders at some point of the night. All in good fun though as it gave us a good laugh at the bone crunching tackles our tough *Cough* Dirty *Cough* trio pulled off on the night!

X Bulldog, Gnats, Darkestfrost, RaingodZippo, Mad Hans Gruber, RuffianStew & mikethemute were all on the score sheet at some point throughout the night!

Also a massive thanks to everybody that took part in the evening as it was a great laugh as always. The players were - mikethemute, Mad Hans Gruber, Obesia Blue, Gnats, BigAndiD, RaingodZippo, X Bulldog, Cookies N Footy, Darkestfrost & NinjaNash. Really sorry if I have missed anybody off the list!

A couple of special mentions that made me laugh were Darkestfrost's miss of the night (maybe of the season!) and again a Mr Darkestfrost nicking the ball off of BigAndiD who was certain to score! lol great times!

As for the Man of the Match - it really was a hard call this week as 2 players really stood out. The 2 players were Mad Hans Gruber & X Bulldog. Mad Hans was his busy self causing the other teams real trouble with his great attacking play and bagged himself a couple of goals with one of them a really wonderfull free kick. X Bulldog was on fire again this week and scored a hat full of goals - I lost count in the end. So I have to give the man of match award to - Both of them. I couldn't choose and they both played some top football so they both deserve the award. Well done guys!

World Cup: South Africa 2010

Well thats it the 2010 World Cup has now come to an end. The last ball has been kicked & the last Vuvuzela has been blown (Thank god to the latter!) of South Africa 2010.

A massive well done to Spain as they were worthy winners in the end but unlucky to the Dutch as they had played some fantastic football to get themselves into the final but were in the end outclassed by Spain.

I think you will agree that it was a great World Cup with some brilliant football being played and some teams pulling shock results along the way. A special mention to Ghana for carrying Africa's hopes as far as they did even though they were cheated in the end.

We won't mention England's poor - sorry I mean VERY poor effort of this tournament!

Well another action packed & fun night we had playing for Ruffian's FC last night.

A massive thanks to Xx em xX, Mad Hans Gruber, Darkestfrost, Raingod Zippo, X Bulldog, Wackybar, mikethemute, NinjaNash & BigAndiD for taking part in the matches.

As for the results we managed 2 draws & a win which wasn't bad for us. The win came right at the end of the night in our very last match which ended up 4-2 to us!

We even tested what would happen if you get 4 red cards in a single match! The ref called it off & gave the other side a 3 nil win. Which made us laugh as we was losing something like 9 nil! lol

I think nearly everybody got on the score sheet which was great to see!

I have to make a special mention for Mad Hans Gruber - he was on fire all night and I think he scored 4 or 5 goals and a handful of assists! He scored an awesome piledriver of a goal from outside of the box - it will be in the highlights! So for his all round fantastic performance all night he gets the Man of The Match Award for the evening!

So all round we had a good night of football with Ruff FC!

Match Round-Up

What a night - we had over 14 players come and go throughout the evening at different points. We had 2 match rooms running for the 1st time to allow everybody a space in the team.

A massive thanks to Darkestfrost, RaingodZippo, X Bulldog, BigAndiD, Wackbar, Gnats, Cookies n Footy, Red olie, Dunco23, MadHansGruber, mikethemute, Obesia Blue & NinjaNash (I am sure I have missed a few people out).

We had the usual Penalties, Red Cards, Own Goals, X Bulldog Scoring again, maybe just maybe the Goal of the Month for June being scored, teams quiting on us - oh and don't forget the lag, lag & abit more lag!!

Also a big welcome to Dunco23 & Red Olie who made their debuts for the team and hope to see you both playing next week.

We all had a great laugh and it's great to see so many people playing for Ruffian's FC now.

Match Report & Highlights

Ok I know it's alittle late but here is the round-up from Weds matches played by RFC.

We had maybe our biggest turn out for Ruffian's FC that we have had since the start of the club.

A big welcome to 3 new players making their debuts this week - Daviddaz(GT-Hotwheelsdavid), TheGoalMachine & Gnats. All 3 played really well & I hope they enjoyed themselves.

The matches had the usual action that comes with Ruff FC - Sendings off, own goals, silly pens given away, 0ne or two wins, A few draws, A handlfull of losses and a truck load full of laughs!!!!!!

X Bulldog once again grabbed another bucket full of goals with style! MadHansGruber & Obesia Blue got themselves sent off. Gnats scored a great own goal! Darkestfrost gave away a Pen but also grabbed a couple of goals himself! Em scored a cracking goal with a great finish!! BigAndiD and myself also got on the score sheet!

A massive thanks to mikethemute, Cookies n footy, Em, Darkestfrost, Gnats, Obesia Blue, TheGoalMachine, Daviddaz, NinjaNash, X Bulldog, MadHansGruber, WackyBar & BigAndiD - I think that was everybody & sorry if I missed anybody!!

Well Season 04 of Ruffian's Online Fifa League is now over. And we have a winner!!

The League Champion is X Bulldog!

Ruffian's FC was in action again last night & we had a cracking turn out - we might need to make a 'A' & 'B' team soon! lol

The results didn't go our way but we all had a really good laugh! As Darkestfrost said "A good laugh as always tonight fellas. sod the results. they dont matter anyway!!"

I agree with you dark - Sod the results! Yes its great to win but we have such a good time that it isn't the main thing for me! Maybe that might be our new motto! Sod the results! lol

Special mention to Cookies n footy for making his debut for R.F.C and playing really well!

Also a amongest all the chaos of the games I noticed something that made me laugh! Cheeky yes but very funny was a Mr WackyBar! His name on the back of his Ruff FC shirt was Tottenham!! lol Cheeky as we play in Arsenal shirts! but well done for to Wacky for sneeking that in there!

X Bulldog scored a bag full of more goals and is now only 1 or 2 goals away from his half century of goals for Ruffian's FC - Well done X Bulldog!

Raingod was also on fire on the scoring front last night too and was unlucky not to get a hatrick!

A few red cards last night (nothing new there!) even X Bulldog got sent off! Also as normal Darkestfrost got a couple of reds and gave away a few pens! lol (Oh I think Em gave away a pen too!) hehe

X Bulldog also scored a real screamer of a goal - check it out on the highlights this fri!

A special mention does go to Darkestfrost & RaingodZippo for their central defensive play at the back. I have to say they played a blinder and kept us tight at the back (which doesnt happen often!)

As for the man of the match for this week it again was a hard call but Mr RaingodZippo wins it for his goals and his defensive work at the back. And don't forget the tricks and flicks he was pulling off last night too! (he said he didn't have a clue how he done them but we all reckon he has been on the training pitch working on them!)

Ruffian's Match of the Day

Another week and another night of Football played by Ruffian's FC!

A massive thanks to BigAndiD, Xx em xX, Ninja nash09, RaingodZippo, Mad Hans Gruber & X bulldog for playing.

We all played some great football - I think everybody who played got on the score sheet which was great as well.

On another note - we didn't pick up one single Red Card all night! Very unlike us lol!

Ruffian's FC is adding a new fun feature to go along side the Video clips of the goals we score & the Goal of the Month/Season Competition - The feature is Man of Match.

With each game night there will be one Man of the Match Award up for grabs. It will be awarded by me & will go to the player that brought most to the teams play that match session - whether it is a bucket full of goals, a fantastic defensive performance or a ton of assists!

As for the Player of the Match Award for the evening I think it was very close between X bulldog - for scoring another crazy amount of goals, RaingodZippo - for scoring the goal of the night (& maybe goal of the Month!) and BigAndiD - for also scoring a bucket full of goals but also marshaling the defence as he played as "Any" on the team selection which isn't easy as most of us have found out the hard way!

So the Winner for tonight's Player of Match Award is - BigAndiD (Was hard to call between the 3 though!)

All the Videos of the nights goals are now up on the forum ready for you to watch. Also we might have just seen the Goal of the Month scored by RaingodZippo - it's on the forum too!

First off just want to let you ladies & gentlemen know that all the match action from Ruffian's FC last week's games are now up on the forum for you to view.

Secondly - What the hell was we on that night! I think I lost count at the 6th Red Card! It was brutal! Tackles flying in all over the shop! lol All good fun though and we did manage some great football inbetween the horror tackles.

X bulldog & NinjaNash are fighting it out for the top scorer of the team at the moment and it amazes me how they can score so many!

Some how I scored again! A chip from the edge of box - not sure how the hell I managed that! lol

The Ruffian's Trials HD Comp Enters the Final Round - Race Week 10 - The Final Show Down

Ok here we go! This is the last round of The Ruffian's RaceWay Trials Challange!

Who will be crowned winner? Minty leads the way but daviddaz and Shrieff still have a real chance!

This Round is a BIGGY!! It has have 8 Tracks to fight over! Yes 8!

There will also be tons of bonus points to fight over. There is more than enough points to earn in this Race Week to allow a few different Riders to Walk away with the title!

Not only is there the Title of Trials Champion but we also have the serious stuff to talk about - Prizes! Yes Prizes Guys!

The community has been voting over the 10 best goals scored by Ruffian's FC players in the Month of March. I think we can all guess who won as there really was only going to be one winner! It was a cracking effort scored by Obesia Blue! It was a long ranged lobbed effort from way outside the box.

Winner in 1st Place - Well done Mr O. Blue!

2nd Place Runner up goes to mikethemute with also another cracking bullet of shot!

Here is a little round up of what has been going on at the site -

Trials HD - Race Week 6 has just closed & every point was hard fought over! Race Week 5 (Design your own track round) is still being judged and the result's & the points will been given out by this Sunday evening on the forum. Also Race Week 7 will be starting very soon!

Forza 3 Challenge - The battle continues up & down the drivers table for every position as we start to enter the final corner of the Comp. Who will hold their nerve to take the top spots & walk off with the prizes (Which are - a 2100 ms points card, 3 months Xbox Live Gold card and some other small goodies). The next Race Week will also be go go go (said in the style of Murry Walker!) this Sunday evening so driver's be ready!

Ruffian's FC - The Club has had it's best 2 weeks in it's history so far and maybe even turning the corner with our results. Over 4 game nights we have racked up at least a 50% win ratio in our matches, a handful of draws and a lot less big losses. We even won by our biggest margin yet with a result of 7-1! Yes that's right a 7-1 win!

We have 2 more game nights coming up this week on Tuesday 23rd & Wednesday 24th March. Head over to the forums to sign up & book your place in the team.

Don't forget you can see the match highlights on the forum in the match day thread they were taken. Also all the goals scored this month are going into goal a Goal of the Month Competition that will be voted on at the beginning of next month by the community members to see which Ruffian's FC player scored the best goal!

I just want to thank every player that has taken part in the club matches whether you scored 20 goals or played just 1 match - it all adds up! Thank you!

Ruffian's Online Fifa League - The league is in full flow & has had some cracking games played! Get your matches played before it is to late! Deadline for the end of the season will be announced soon on the forum.

New Competition's - OK guys I need to know what Competition's you would like to be set up after the current ones finish. Maybe a Tiger Woods 10 Ruffian's Open held over 1 weekend? Maybe something linked to the F1 Xbox 360 game coming soon for our petrol heads in the community? I will definitely be doing a knockout style Competition in and around the world cup but not sure whether to use Fifa 10 for it or the new EA World Cup game that is coming.

Trials HD -
Race Week 4 is half way through. This week is all about the skill games. All times have to be in on the forum by Friday 5th March.

Ruffian's FC -
The team was in action again today. We struggled to get into any sort of flow due to the crippling lag we was all fighting against. Big thanks to everybody that took part. Also I have added some new bits for the club on the forum. They are player stats and highlights of the matches we played (yes some highlights - check the videos out on the forum!). There is also a new fixture night posted up so check the forum for full details for the up and coming matches!

We actaully got 2 wins and a draw tonight! And **Cough** 4 losses **Cough**.

Ruffians FC was in action tonight! We had a great laugh - even though we only managed 1 win lol!
