Ruff's F1 World Championship - The Final Results

The last of the rounds of the F1 Competition have been raced and fought over with the final points added to the Drivers/Teams League Standings and finally we have our winners!

A massive well done to Mikethemute who stole the Ruff's F1 World Championship at the last! He entered the last 4 rounds in 2nd but took 1st place in the final rounds to claim the Ruff F1 crown! Before the final 4 rounds it looked like it was going to be a tough call to win the title as he was just a few to many points behind and if Darkestfrost finished all 4 rounds he would be to far to catch but the monster that is Monaco struck and Darkestfrost crashed out and with mikes brilliant driving he took the title! I think you will agree that Mikethemute is a worthy winner of this competition and deserves the title and prize of 1200 ms points! I have to say unlucky to Darkestfrost as he gave a great battle and we all enjoyed seeing mike and dark fight it out on the tracks of the F1 World.

The Team World Title was also hard fought competition (with great banter) between LameDuck Racing and Team DarkBar Racing - with LameDuck taking the title in the end. Mikethemute and RaingodZippo being the drivers of LameDuck Racing - Mike making it a double win! RaingodZippo for being the other part of the winning team will also pick up a code for 1200ms points!

Mikethemute and RaingodZippo will also be entered into the Ruff's Hall of Fame and their names will go down in Ruff History!

Goal of the Month Competition 
March 2011

This evening saw the end of the voting for RuffiansFC Goal of the Month Competition for March 2011. We are still a few months behind but hopefully will catch up over the coming weeks. A massive thanks to everybody that took the time to vote.

The winning goal was number 6 from the 10 goals which was scored by X Bulldog - a great volley from distance on the edge of the box! Well done Rich it is a cracking goal!

Also well done to all that had goals entered in March's goal of the month competition - there was some real crackers. X Bulldog's winning goal will be put forward into the Goal of the Season Competition at the end of the season in October 2011. Some of the runners up can still make this as I will include some of the best goals that didn't quite make the vote and they will be entered as wildcard entries.

Competition News -

Ruff's Fifa League Season 09

     -Important Information-

 

The end of the season for all 3 Divisions is now going to be Friday 2nd Sept 2011 at 10pm! So all games must be played by then or they will be lost points!

The original end of the season date was going to be the 2nd of August but with lots of league members being away on holiday and still alot of games to be played I have pushed it back 1 month to give you all a better chance to earn those points! Also the end of the season would have landed right when I might be moving house so better all round that the season is 1 month longer. Oh and that means more time to play Fifa! That can't be a bad thing.

Some of you have complained that you are struggling to find other league members to play against - try and contact each other through Xbox Live, Twitter or through our forum here at Ruff Gaming. If that fails then contact me through Xbox Live or Twitter with when you are free and I will get some matches lined up for you. The more notice the better.

So all that is left to do is get playing guys!

A little update below with some important information on some of our competitions that we have running at the moment -

Ruff's Fifa Legaue Season 09 -
Due to the summer months and plenty of our league members being on holiday I have decided to extend the end of our season to 2nd Sept 2011 so this gives you all a better chance to get those games in before the end of the season. I will run a few evenings to help organise getting your fixtures played. Keep an eye on the Ruff Night section of the forum for when I plan these evenings. So guys get playing before it is to late!

The Ruff Fifa Cup -
This may seem to be dragging on but I have had a few people drop out messing up the structure of the cup. Instead of the planned mini league we was going to do for the semi final we are going back to the old style knockout format for the semi finals. I will make the draw soon and full info will be posted on the forum.

RuffiansFC Goal of the Month Competition -
It is time to vote for March's goal of the month comp. Head over to the forum and go to the Ruff Gaming TV section to watch the entries to the comp and place your vote. The deadline to get your votes in is Friday 29th July

     Ruff's F1 World Championship

1st off really sorry for the extreme late running of the update to the Ruff F1 Competition. I have now added all the points for the past 3 rounds 8, 9 & 10. It is still a really close fought battle for the Drivers and Teams Championships in Ruff's F1 2011 Competition. The final rounds of the comp are now posted up and ready to go! We have 2 time trial rounds and 2 live race rounds to make up the end to the championship. Head to the forum to see where we are racing next!

Competition News -

So the Ruff Golf Cup has now come to an end and after lots of fantastic golf over 3 rounds we have our Champion from the 20 players that started - Carson1912!.  The final was between TheMehWarrior, Wackybar and Carson1912. The course that I chose for the battleground for the grand final was the tough 18 holes of Augusta. Both MehWarrior and Wackybar put up a good fight but Carson had it all under control from the 1st tee and never looked back really. All 3 players played some cracking shots and also all 3 ended up in the sand more than once - Oh and Wackybar went paddling in the water on the 16th!

So a massive well done to Carson for taking the title for 2011 and along with the title he wins himself 1200 ms points code. I hope everybody that entered the competition enjoyed it as much as I did.

The Ruff Fifa Cup - Update

At long last I have got round to sorting out the latest stage of the Ruff Fifa Cup. Round 3 is now complete and we now have our 5 players for Round 4 which is the Semi Final stage of the Cup.

A massive well done to the 5 players that have reached the Semi Finals. Unlucky to all the guys that got so far but have gone out. 

We are moving away from the knockout style for the semi final's to a mini league. Everybody will play each other once - just 90 minutes and no need for extra time or pens. You will get 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss. The top 2 teams after all the games have been played will be the 2 teams through to the final and they then will play a 1 off match organised by me at a later date.
